Just in Time Inventory

This database was designed to assist a client who was having problems maintaining inventory levels. They would often find themselves not having available product, which would cause many of their orders to go into a backorder status. This had caused many customers to cancel orders. An additional problem that they were faced with was that they would have stock overages and order product from suppliers when they would actually have ample supply in other warehouses in other geographical locations.

I created a report that enabled them to identify where they were having stock underage as well as warehouses that were overstocked with inventory. The report additionally performed an analysis, so they could see the amount of inventory that they would need for each individual product for a 30 day period. This also allowed them to pinpoint the warehouses and products that had overages, so they could distribute these products between warehouses This allowed them to have ample supply of product as well as save money by moving product between warehouses instead of placing new orders for products that they already had available stock for.
